Over the past decade, there have been significant investments and step change advancements made in self-driving vehicle technology in the on-road and passenger car world. From sensor and perception hardware, to the AI powered autonomy software used for real time decision making.
At SafeAI, we talk a lot about Autonomy 2.0. So, what is it exactly?

Autonomous Vehicle technology has been successfully used in mining for over 20 years, but it hasn’t changed or evolved significantly over this time. We call this Autonomy 1.0. 

By leveraging these technology advancements from other verticals and applying them to solutions for heavy industry, we’re able to bring the next generation of this technology to mining and construction. We call this Autonomy 2.0.
